Uniknot (Duncan Loop Knot)

The name of the knot we will learn this time is commonly called the Uni Knot, but its official name is the Duncan Loop Knot.

This knot is used not only for tying the float but also for tying the hook.  It is also widely used in the “ cotton thread knot   for adjusting the water depth in float fishing that we looked at last time , and when tying the line to the spool when winding the main line on the reel, and in the “trolley knot”, which is a type of direct knot.

Now, let’s take a closer look at knotting techniques.

1. Pass the line through the arrival ring.

2. Make a loop by turning the passed line from bottom to top.

3. Pass the line through the created loop from top to bottom 4-5 times.
